City hires firm to update strategic plan

A West Lafayette emergency room, a Trader Joe’s and a continuation of bicycle- and pedestrian-friendly initiatives were ideas put forward at the West Lafayette Strategic Plan Update on Thursday night.

The city of West Lafayette has hired Arnett Muldrow and Associates, a town planning firm, to lead an effort that will update its 2005 strategic plan for community development.

“The city decided it wanted some fresh eyes,” said Tripp Muldrow of Arnett Muldrow. “We’re here to check progress on the kind of work that’s been done in the past, evaluate directions, and do a refinement of strategies to look at the next three to five years as we move ahead.”
