Exponent accepting works for Literary Edition
The Exponent is accepting submissions for the Literary Edition, which will be published Dec. 15. Purdue students, faculty and staff members should send their prose, poetry, photos and artwork via e-mail to literary@purdueexponent.org. Submissions can also be hand-delivered to the Exponent at 460 Northwestern Ave. or sent to P.O. Box 2506, West Lafayette, Ind., 47996. Please include a phone number at which you can be reached to confirm your submission. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Dec. 11.

Body identified as student, resident of Hawkins
The Tippecanoe County Coroner on Wednesday night identified the body found Tuesday behind Hawkins Hall as Michael Kenneth Allen.
Allen, 20, of Fremont, Calif., was a junior in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He lived on the fifth floor of Hawkins Residence Hall, a high-rise residence for graduate and older undergraduate students at 430 West Wood St.
A service worker found Allen's body around 5:20 a.m. Tuesday near a loading dock at the residence hall.
