UPDATE (11:10 p.m.): Obama leads Tippecanoe County voters in latest update

Tippecanoe County has reported 69,057 votes cast. 1,300 of them were left to count.

As of 11:10 p.m., 54.83 percent of the county's voters cast votes for Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., in the presidential election, tallying 36,627 votes. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has secured 29,165 votes in the county. No major news outlet has projected the winner in the state of Indiana.

In the Indiana gubernatorial race, Tippecanoe County reported 62.00 percent of its voters chose incumbent Republican Gov. Mitch Daniels with 35.40 percent voting for Democrat Jill Long Thompson.

In the U.S. Representative from District 4, Democrat Nels Ackerson leads incumbent Steve Buyer, garnering 53.58 percent and 46.70 percent, respectively.

In the Indiana Representative District 26 race, John Polles trails Republican Randy Truitt, 13,150 votes to 13,285 votes.
