PSG meets to discuss online conveniences
Students may soon take finals two days earlier, look up their professors online and register for classes in their boxers.
Purdue Student Government discussed these topics Wednesday night at its Senate meeting.
The Pick-a-Prof Web site would be run by an independent company that could post students’ advice about their former professors. The Web site was the main focus of the Schnur and Steele campaign platform in the Spring.

City Hall hearing reveals resistance to tax increases
Anne Hunt, D — District 3, said cutting taxes would mean cutting services, but residents packed City Hall to discuss the city’s 2005 budget during a public hearing on Tuesday night.
West Lafayette’s budget passed initial voting along party lines on Aug. 2 and Tuesday provided local residents with a chance to speak to Mayor Jan Mills and city council members.
Although some said they approved of the city’s plan for adding more fire fighters and continuing city improvement projects, many citizens expressed dissatisfaction regarding the much publicized 17 percent budget increase and five percent increase in property taxes.
