No Doubt fans plan to rock steady Sunday, hoping Gwen Stefani sings a little of the old to go with all of the new promised to audiences around the country on the band's tour to support their latest album.

The tour will make its only stop in Indiana at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Elliott Hall of Music.

Yuri Livshitz, a sophomore in the School of Science, said he likes every song he's heard by No Doubt, but he'd like to hear an even balance between their old and new music.

"I'd like to hear 'Don't Speak' because it's a good song and I'd like to hear it live," he said.

Livshitz bought his ticket three weeks ago and could only get seats in one of Elliott Hall's balconies. Now, Sunday's show is sold out, along with almost every other show on No Doubt's tour.

"I didn't know the show would sell out that fast," Livshitz said.

Shawn Weston, a senior in the School of Liberal Arts, said he hopes the band will add to their live performance so that the songs don't just sound like recordings. He said No Doubt's new album, "Rock Steady," reflects a genuine effort to make good music.

"For me, they are continually evolving and picking up new styles. It's like they're looking for an identity," said Weston.

Livshitz agrees. "Their music is really original. You can't just categorize them as ska." Livshitz said he enjoyed the reggae blended in with some of the tracks on "Rock Steady."

"It's the hardest thing to just be simple, to let the music and the words speak for what you're feeling," Stefani, the band's frontrunner, said of their new album.

The first single from "Rock Steady," "Hey Baby," is said to incorporate all of No Doubt's styles and has gotten plenty of airtime.

"Even my favorite songs I don't listen to as much as they play 'Hey Baby," said Livshitz.
