From Staff Reports
Purdue and Indiana University have teamed up again to create more jobs.
Representatives from the state have established that life sciences are a high priority for jobs in the state. In order to bring more jobs to the state, Purdue and IU School of Medicine each provided $75,000 for faculty from both campuses to collaborate on research that is similar in biomedical research, said Charles Rutledge, interim vice provost for research.
There will be three $50,000 grants sponsored.
"This is another example of the close collaboration between Indiana University and Purdue to both institutions and to the state, as well as discover things that will improve the economic development and create more jobs," said Rutledge.
