A former Purdue quarterback has found a professional football home.
Robert Marve announced Friday via Twitter his decision to sign with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, a team in the Canadian Football League.
After suffering the third ACL injury of his career on Sept. 8, 2012, Marve appeared in seven of Purdue's final 10 games. He had 15 touchdowns and five interceptions as a Boilermaker senior.
The Blue Bombers were 3-15 in 2013. Max Hall, their quarterback in 2013, completed 162 of 283 passes, including nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Before joining Winnipeg, Marve went undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft. He was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during their rookie minicamp for tryouts.
