The Purdue softball team finished its 4-0 weekend with a 10-6 win over the New Mexico Lobos on Sunday.

Over the weekend, the Boilers scored 38 runs and averaged nine and a half runs per game.
The lack of outdoor preparation was not a factor, as Purdue scored 10 runs in each of its first two games. Sophomore Andie Varsho led the Boilers with two hits and two RBI’s in the 10-2 victory over Bryant University.
In their second game Saturday, the Boilers beat Northern Colorado 10-1 and were led by junior Ashley Courtney, who went 3-3 at the plate.
Through the four games, three Boilers are batting over .500 and another four are batting at or above .400. Freshman pitcher Lexy Moore hasn’t given up an earned run in 10.1 innings pitched.
The Boilermakers (4-0) return to action on Friday when they take on Belmont at the Frost Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn.
