Acclaimed Chinese pianist Yi-Nuo Wang will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 14 in Stewart Center's Loeb Playhouse, according to a university press release.
Wang, winner of the 2018 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, has played piano since she was four years old, and continued her studies at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Now, she balances her tours — which span multiple continents — with her undergraduate studies at the prestigious Juilliard School. Wang is scheduled to make her New York debut in a performance at Carnegie Hall later this year.
Her performance at Purdue will be on a Steinway concert grand piano gifted to the University by Janet and John Nine.
Tickets are $20 for adults, and $15 for children 18 years old and younger, Purdue and Ivy Tech students. Tickets may be purchased at the Stewart Center box office.
This performance is a program of Purdue Convocations.
