Twenty-year-old Keaton Ferverda was arrested for alleged possession of a narcotic drug over 10 grams, possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and attempted dealing of a narcotic drug on late Tuesday night at the 1200 block of Third Street.
Officer Kiefer Mikels originally pulled Ferverda over for a routine traffic stop but then discovered a small amount of a controlled substance in his car, which prompted Ferverda's arrest and further investigation at his off-campus residence.
The “clear sugar-cubed-like substance” which was found in small amounts in multiple packages at his house is being tested at the state lab to determine its identity. Police officials guess it’s LSD, according to Purdue University Police Department Capt. Song Kang.
After the interrogation with Ferverda, police verified he was “distributing or delivering to people he knew,” Kang said.
Ferverda was booked into Tippecanoe County Jail and later released the same day with a $10,000 bond.
