Purdue men's basketball head coach Matt Painter has announced the Boilermakers' non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season.

The official start to the season will be Nov. 5, according to a Purdue press release, as Purdue will open its 122nd season of play at Mackey Arena. Other contests, such as the Emerald Coast Classic matchups, the Gavitt Games and the Big Ten / ACC Challenge will be announced later.

Purdue will return two starters and eight letter winners from the 2018-19 squad that reached the Elite Eight and won the Big Ten regular-season championship for the second time in three seasons.

Nov. 5: Green Bay at Mackey Arena

Nov. 9: Texas at Mackey Arena

Series record: Texas leads, 3-1 (last meeting: Dec. 9, 2018 - Texas, 72-68)

This will be Texas' first trip ever to Mackey Arena and its first trip to Indiana since March 17, 2005, a 61-57 loss to Nevada in the NCAA Tournament played in Indianapolis. Texas has never played a true road game in the state of Indiana.
