A group of students and organization representatives from the Greater Lafayette area organized a meeting at the Latino Cultural Center on Monday to support those who have suffered from the shootings in Dayton and El Paso as well as form the immigration raids in Mississippi. With the goal of strengthening the community, the event offered a chance to heal and to live in love while creating a community art project and writing cards to students in El Paso. Students had the opportunity to paint rocks for a rock garden outside the center with the names of those who perished in the mass shootings in Dayton, El Paso and Gilroy.
