Lafayette police officer Kevin Price resigned Monday before a Lafayette Police Civil Service Commission executive session was to meet to determine his fate, according to a press release.
Price had been on paid administrative leave since Nov. 2 after an internal affairs investigation. Price has been accused of stealing and then selling ammunition owned by the city to a third party.
The Tippecanoe County prosecutor charged Price with theft and official misconduct on Nov. 13. He is preliminarily set to go to trial in March.
