A West Lafayette doctor is in critical condition after his motorcycle was involved in a crash with a car at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Dr. Gagandeep Chadha, 50, who was driving a 2013 Harley Davidson, was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in critical condition, according to Lafayette police.
The driver of a 2000 Honda Civic, Daniel Escalante, 18, was not injured in the crash.
Both vehicles, a 2000 Honda Civic and a 2013 Harley Davidson, were traveling eastbound on South Street just before the collision at the intersection of North 14th Street, police said. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Police said alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
Chadha is an internal medicine doctor who practices at 166 Sagamore Pkwy. W., West Lafayette.
