8/11/19 Trent corn maze

Concept art for the Trent corn maze shows the late Boilermaker wearing his signature Purdue blazer.

A corn maze in Thorntown, Indiana, is paying tribute to Boilermaker superfan and graduate Tyler Trent with its corn maze design this year.

Dull’s Tree Farm and Pumpkin Patch celebrates autumn every year with a pumpkin harvest, Christmas tree sales, fall activities and a corn maze.

This year the farm has chosen to design its maze to look like the late Purdue graduate Tyler Trent, who passed away on New Year’s Day this year.

Concept art for the maze shows a trail cut out to look like Trent in his signature Purdue blazer, holding both arms aloft making peace signs. He sits next to a ribbon, which represents cancer awareness, and words emblazoned over his back read, “This maze fights cancer.”

“This year we are honoring Tyler Trent and all the children who face childhood cancer each year,” the farm’s website reads.
