According to University press release, award-winning cellist Camille Thomas, with accompaniment by pianist Julien Brocal, is performing in Stewart Center's Loeb Playhouse on Oct. 24.
Thomas, performing pieces from the classical repertoire on an 18th century Gagliano cello, earned a first-place finish in the European Broadcasting Union Competition 2014, also being named to Forbes "30 Under 30" list.
Thomas and Brocal's performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Loeb Playhouse, with a pre-show discussion at 6:30 in STEW 310 hosted by Margot Marlatt, a cellist and executive director of the Tippecanoe Chamber Music Society.
Tickets are $20 for adults, and $15 for children 18 years old and younger, Purdue and Ivy Tech students. Tickets may be purchased at the Stewart Center box office.
