Purdue overcame a 13-point first half deficit at No. 15 Illinois to score 19 straight to take a four point lead early in the second half, but it was not enough to win in Champaign on Saturday. The Illini (8-3, 4-1) had two players with double-doubles to eventually beat Purdue (7-5, 2-3), 66-58. Kofi Cockburn had 14 points and 10 rebounds while Da'Monte Williams had 12 and 10 for the home team. The Boilermakers were led by Trevion Williams and Brandon Newman with 14 points each.
