Purdue University's two turnovers against No. 23 University of Iowa were costly as the Boilermakers (2-5, 1-3 Big Ten) lost at Iowa City, 26-20, Saturday. Statistically, the two teams were very close to each other as Iowa (5-2, 2-2) outgained Purdue, 362 to 360 yards. Boilermaker quarterback Jack Plummer was 30 of 50 for 327 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He was sacked once, too. The Hawkeyes were led by quarterback Nate Stanley who was 23 of 33 for 260 yards. He had one interception and was sacked once. Purdue freshman David Bell had 13 receptions for 197 yards and one touchdown.
