Family, teammates, colleagues and friends gathered on Saturday afternoon in Purdue's Mollenkopf Athletic Center to celebrate the life of football legend Leroy Keyes during a three-hour visitation and a two and one half hour memorial service. Keyes died on April 15. He was most notably a runningback for the Boilermakers, although he also played defense, were he finished third and second in the Heisman Trophy votes in 1967 and 1968 respectively. He most recently worked with the John Purdue Club as a fund-raiser and ambassador for the university.
