Purdue men’s tennis fell to Indiana 4-2 on Saturday, bringing the Hoosiers (5-6, 1-0 Big Ten) within one-half point of the Boilers (4-4, 0-2) in the Governor's Cup standings.
Sophomore Mateo Julio and senior Dominik Sochurek defeated Brandon Lam and Carson Haskins 7-6(4) in doubles. Juniors Stephan Koenigsfest and Athell Bennett defeated Bennett Crane and Zac Brodney 6-2 to help the Boilermakers secure the doubles point.
Julio also won singles, defeating Crane 6-0 7-6(3).
The Boilermakers travel to Baylor to face the No. 11 Bears before heading west to Indian Wells, California, over Spring Break to compete in the annual Oracle Collegiate Challenge.
