The Purdue men's basketball team will become the first college basketball team to wear the new Kobe 1 Protro shoe.
The Boilermakers are in the midst of a two game losing streak, but that won't stop some players from breaking out these sweet kicks when they return to action at Wisconsin on Thursday.
The team explained in a later tweet that former NBA superstar Kobe Bryant gave the Boilermakers permission to debut his shoes saying, "Purdue is balling this year. Of course they can be the first to wear them."
Former Purdue All American and current Portland Trailblazer Caleb Swanigan also weighed in on the new shoes.
