Purdue will host the 2013 Big Ten Cross Country meet Sunday at the Boilermaker Cross Country Course located next to the Schwartz Tennis Center and Boilermaker Soccer Complex.
The men's race is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. and the women's to follow at 11:45. It is the first time since 2002 that the Boilermakers have hosted the event.
Purdue's Matt McClintock (So.) has a legitimate shot to win the race as he won the Big Ten Preview in September, is the top returning finisher from last year's conference meet and had his best-ever race two weeks ago.
If he does win, he will be the Purdue men's team's fifth Big Ten individual champion and the first since 1943 when Eddie Ericsson won in the four mile race.
