The Purdue women’s basketball team won a close game against the Wisconsin Badgers, 56-55, Thursday night in Mackey Arena. The Boilermakers (6-6, 3-5) led by as much as 12 points in the first quarter, but the Badgers came back to cut the deficit to 5 at halftime, 25-20. The Badgers (3-9, 0-9) took the lead in the third and by the fourth quarter the lead see-sawed to the end. Center Fatou Diagne made 1 of 2 free throws with less than a second remaining to seal the win. Brooke Moore hit a key 3-point shot to take the lead late in the fourth. Moore led the Boilermakers with 12 points off the bench, while Diagne recorded a double-double, with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
