Purdue soccer fell to Penn State 2-1 on Sunday at Folk Field. After falling behind 1-0 in the first six minutes, the Boilermakers tied it up after sophomore midfielder Teagan Jones crossed the ball to sophomore forward Mia Roth who knocked the ball into the goal. The goal came five minutes before the half and was the first of the year for Roth. Ten minutes into the second half, Penn State scored once again, and Purdue was unable to finish any of their shots for the rest of the game as they were plagued by fouls. Purdue finished with eight fouls in the second half with a total of 12 during the game. The Boilermakers fall to 6-6-3 overall and will only play away for the rest of the season.
