On Monday, the Purdue baseball team was selected as No. 2 seed for the upcoming NCAA Tournament and will play on Friday.

The Boilermakers (37-19), runners-up for the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles, will play No. 3 seed Houston (36-23), at 7 p.m., Friday in the Chapel Hill, North Carolina Regional.

All games of the double-elimination format will be available live on ESPN3, WatchESPN and the ESPN app.

Purdue was among four teams picked by the NCAA, which includes regular season and tournament champion Minnesota, which will host games in the upcoming tournament. In addition to Purdue, other Big Ten teams selected included Indiana and Ohio State.

The SEC led conference team selections with 10, followed by six from the ACC, five from the Big 12 and four each from the American Athletic, Pac-12 and Big Ten conferences.

There are 16 regional hosts, which represent the top 16 seeds in the tournament. Those hosting schools include: Georgia (37-19), Texas (37-20), North Carolina (38-18), Clemson (45-14), Oregon State (44-10-1), Coastal Carolina (42-17), Stetson (45-11), Arkansas (39-18), Florida (42-17), East Carolina (43-16), Minnesota (41-13), Texas Tech (39-17), Ole Miss (46-15), North Carolina State (40-16), Stanford (44-10) and Florida State (43-17).
