Purdue went head-to-head with Penn State at Bittinger Stadium on Friday evening for the first of this weekend's three games. After the first six innings, the outcome looked bleak for Purdue's softball team, which was trailing 7-2. The Boilers rallied during the last inning, gaining an 8-7 win.

The Boilers play the Nittany Lions in a doubleheader at Bittinger Stadium at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
