A Purdue runner was honored for the second year straight for her performance at the Big Ten track and field championships.
Junior Devynne Charlton was named the Big Ten Track Athlete of the Championships after receiving two gold medals and a silver at the Big Ten championship last weekend.
She was the first female Boilermaker in school history to win the 60-meter dash and the 60-meter hurdles, and her second-place finish in the 200-meter dash is the best for the school.
She broke the school record for the 60 with a time of 7.26 seconds and tied the school record for the 60 hurdles with a time of 7.97 seconds.
She is a NCAA qualifier in the 60 and 60 hurdles. Final entries will be announced later this week.
